About me and my research project

I am a PhD student at the Faculty of Medicine and will examine sustainable nutrition within the broader framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Food production, food consumption and nutrition can be connected to all SDGs. The PhD project will focus on perspectives of health, climate and inequalities in health, based on data from epidemiological studies. I am hoping for a future where food is produced and consumed in a sustainable way.

As a dietitian I have been working in a clinical setting, as a health care strategist and as a developer for better and more sustainable food in hospitals. I have been a program manager for the Swedish Association of Clinical Dietitians for several years. My projects address public health, cancer prevention, non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and sustainable food consumption. Prior, I have been working with development work in India and have for many years been engaged in an NGO working with sustainability and human rights.

I hold a Bachelor in media and communication science (Lund University, Sweden) and a Bachelor in Clinical nutrition (Suhr’s Metropolitan University College, Copenhagen, Denmark). I pursued my postgraduate education at the University of Gothenburg and Umeå University (Sweden). I am a registered dietitian, R.D.
