About me
I am a doctoral candidate within the Department of Clinical Science in Lund, division of anaesthesiology and intensive care. I have an interdisciplinary background as I hold a Bachelor of Peace and conflict studies, and a Master of Environmental Science, with a specialization in applied climate strategy, both from Lund University.
About my research project
My research project explores environmental impact from Swedish health care, with a special focus on intensive and perioperative care units. Through life cycle assessments, I seek to compare single-use and reusable equipment, different interventions and to explore the overall environmental footprint from intensive care units.
The aim with this research is to enhance the knowledge on what the major drivers are for environmental impact in Swedish health care and to explore opportunities that could reduce such impact, without jeopardizing patient safety. The research project is connected to the Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, with a special focus on Goal 3 on good health and well-being; Goal 6 on clean water and sanitation; Goal 12 on responsible consumption and production; Goal 13 on climate action; Goal 14 on life below water; Goal 15 on life on land; and Goal 17, partnership for the goals.
